Genr8 Kajima Regeneration Ltd (GKRL), in partnership with Knowsley Council, has submitted a hybrid planning application for St Michael’s Place in Huyton Village, following a successful public consultation.

The £200 million project aims to transform Huyton town centre with:

  • New homes, including affordable and age-friendly options
  • A 130-bed hotel
  • Modern commercial and workspace opportunities
  • A central village green and high-quality public space

More than 5,000 people visited the consultation website, with over 80 attending in-person events. Community feedback played a key role in shaping the proposals, helping to focus on green spaces, housing quality, and a vibrant local high street.

Mike Smith, Director at GKRL, said:

“The community’s feedback has been invaluable in helping us refine our proposals. This is a pivotal moment for Huyton, and we’re proud to be taking the next step in delivering a town centre that’s ambitious, inclusive, and future-ready.”
