St Michaels Place will drive the regeneration of Huyton Village Centre, catalyzed through the development of a new 90,000sqft Council Headquarters for Knowsley Council, a premium brand 130 bed Hotel and high-quality extensive new public realm and a new Village Green for Huyton, its current residents, workers and new visitors. A new Active Travel Hub will provide key infrastructure for the scheme and the wider town centre, with a refurbished Cavendish Walk building at the top of the existing High Street providing a new Town Centre Community Hub anchored by a relocated and improved Library offer, driving footfall to the High Street and St Michaels Pace development.
This will unlock the opportunity to deliver up to 400 residential mixed tenure dwellings, of which circa 70 units are planned for delivery in Phase 1 in partnership with Torus Developments, who are a strategic partner of Homes England.
