Genr8 will host a digital public consultation to launch emerging proposals for new development in Rochdale.

A virtual consultation will go live from Monday 1st February and will remain accessible for three weeks until 22nd February 2021. Consultation material will be available at: rochdalepublicconsultation.co.uk

Genr8 is proposing to develop 238 apartments, a 146-bedroom hotel and new offices on land adjacent to Rochdale Riverside, the town’s new retail and leisure destination.

The planning application was submitted in December 2020.

Due to current restrictions put in place by the Government to safeguard against Covid-19 the consultation will take place across digital platforms.

Mike Smith partner at Genr8 said: “We are seeking the views of residents and businesses on the proposed development. All comments will be shared with Rochdale Borough Council ahead of the committee reaching a decision on the planning application in Spring 2021.

“Our proposed plans present an opportunity to deliver high quality hospitality, living and working space in a sustainable, thriving, and eclectic neighbourhood.

“We are presenting plans digitally and hope to gain some interesting insight and thoughts from the public. We welcome all suggestions and look forward to seeing the responses.”

There will be an opportunity to submit comments on the plans through the website: rochdalepublicconsultation.co.uk
