Smithfield Phase I handed over

smithfield

Genr8 has handed over Smithfield Phase I to Stoke-on-Trent City Council. The development comprises 210,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation in two separate buildings. No.1 Smithfield houses the new city library and a modern customer hub from which the Council will deliver its primary services. No. 2 Smithfield features predominantly back office functions and also includes two ground floor leisure/retail units comprising 5,000 sq ft and 3,500 sq ft respectively. In addition, extensive areas of public realm have been delivered and will create a new quarter of the city for visitors and residents to enjoy. Up to 1,700 Council staff will be employed at Smithfield and the Council has now begun a phased relocation of personnel into the new premises.
