One of Genr8’s founding partners, Mike has been instrumental in the growth of the business over the last decade, securing significant opportunities and playing a leading role in guiding these projects through the delivery process to completion.
Previously Mike established and led the Yorkshire and North East region for AMEC Developments having earlier headed MEPC’s retail and leisure team in the North until its sale to Westfield.
He has been at the forefront of numerous public/private regeneration partnerships amongst them Stoke-on-Trent, Wakefield, Doncaster and Rochdale.
One of Manchester’s most respected property professionals, John founded Genr8 Developments in 2008. Previously he had been Executive Chairman at AMEC Developments and under his leadership the company established itself as a national leader in the field of urban regeneration.
John has forged exceptionally strong links with both the executive and political leadership at Manchester City Council over many years. He was chair of Manchester Central Conference and Exhibition Centre until 2017, is a Board member of Chetham’s School of Music and previously chaired the Greater Manchester Business Leadership Council. He has been at the forefront of regeneration in Manchester and was joint chair of the Hulme Regeneration Company which brought such dramatic change to the city.
A founding partner of Genr8 Richard has played a key role in the establishment and development of the business. Richard has led the successful delivery of Genr8’s projects at Halifax and Stoke-on-Trent delivering in excess of 650,000 of mixed-use development across Grade A office, Industrial, hotel, Build-to-Rent and family housing.
Prior to setting Genr8 up Richard was a director at AMEC Developments where he was responsible for the delivery of a number of high-profile development projects including the inception and establishment of the now hugely successful Salford Central New Bailey scheme. Richard also played a leading role in the regeneration of New East Manchester.
Lauren joined Genr8 from Peel Land & Property in 2019, where she was responsible for retail and leisure provision across key mixed-use sites, including Gloucester Quays, Salford Quays and Glasgow Harbour. Previous to this, Lauren worked in the Retail and Leisure agency team in JLL’s Manchester office, working with a range of clients and sites across the North West.
Joel joined Genr8 as a Development Manger in early 2019 to drive forward the delivery of Genr8’s ongoing development projects. Joel was previously a land buyer at McCarthy & Stone sourcing development opportunities in the North West. Previous to this, Joel worked for the Canal & Rivers Trust on its UK portfolio of regeneration and development projects.
