Smithfield’s Hilton Garden Inn Hotel is introducing its restaurant offer with a new restaurant and bar, Six. The bar will open in line with government guidance Monday May 17.

Restaurant Six will have a sophisticated and modern approach that celebrates Stoke-on-Trent. Named Six to celebrate the six towns which make up Stoke-on-Trent (Burslem, Fenton, Hanley, Longton, Tunstall and Stoke) the brand pays homage to the city’s history and industrial heritage.

The contemporary restaurant will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner in a bistro-style and is designed to feel cosy and welcoming to both visitors and residents of Stoke-on-Trent.

Following government guidance, Restaurant Six will open outside seating and inside dining for tables of six from May 17 serving guests of the hotel as well as external customers and bookings.

Ben Carey, General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn said: “It’s wonderful to see all the work we have done as a partnership with the wider Smithfield scheme team come to fruition. We wanted to take the time to consider the restaurant brand within the hotel to ensure it had meaning and purpose. The realisation of a restaurant with a distinct identity that will appeal to a wide-ranging audience is an exciting prospect for the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel.

“Restaurant Six opening up post-lockdown signals an exciting time for the hotel as we welcome the return of visitors and prepare for a period of greater success. The restaurant will add to the buzzing atmosphere of Smithfield and we are greatly looking forward to its emergence as a dynamic addition to Smithfield’s lifestyle offerings.”

The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel’s fresh new brand ‘Six’, will provide another opportunity for the Smithfield scheme to focus on community-building in Stoke-on-Trent.

Smithfield is a partnership between Genr8 and Stoke-on-Trent City Council, and to date has boosted the local economy by over £80m of GVA per annum.

Detailed work is now ongoing on the next phases of development at Smithfield which will include a new multi-storey car park and further workspace.
